Day 1

Depart from Marrakesh and drive straight out to Armed village, where you will meet your mountain trek crew.  You will then trek up to Neltner camp (approximately 5 hrs), where you wil spend the night.

Day 2: This a an 8 hour walking day

We have an early start to the summit, Mont Toubkal. (4169m).  The view’s from the summit are breath taking ! You will then descend back to the camp, have a rest , & then continue down to Armed village, for an overnight at a local Guesthouse.

Day 3

Today you’ll will be transferred down to the South (through the Tizi-n-Tichka pass ), to Tighza village.    We will visit the Telwate casbah, and villages around, lunch will be served in a talwate restaurant. We will overnight at a local gusthouse for the evening.

Day 4: Tighza – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate

Our road continues to Oued el Malh, we will visit the Ait ben village, and continue to Ouarzazate, the hollywood of Morocco, visit the Atlas studio of Morocco, and Tawrirte casbah, lunch will be in Ouarzazate.

Day 5: Ouarzazate – Nesrat 

We depart around 8am from Ouarzazate.  We will pass the Anti Atlas mountain range, and then descend to the Draa Valley with it’s ksars, beautiful fortified villages, and the city of Zagora. We will continue to the great desert of Nesrat where we will meet our team of camel drivers. Tonight we will be sleeping in tents, under the stars !

DAY 6: Nesrat – Dunes Bou Gaiwarne – Dunes Tidri

This an approximately 5 hour walking day.

This will be our first day of hiking.  We will descend the Draa Valley, going through its charming Berber villages: Ignaoun, Moulay Ali Achrif, and have the opportunity to meet the locals.  Then we will head to the village of Zaouiat Sidi Salah (the capital of the region). Lunch will be prepared by our cook in the middle of an oasis. This will be followed by a one and half hour walk where we will reach our camp at the foot of the great dune, Tidri, Nuit .  Tonight we will sleep under the stars, in tents.

DAY 7: Tidri – Erg Sahel

This is approximately a 5 hour walking day.

This is a beautiful stage, in which you can climb and descend to the golden dunes of Tidri. We will cross a rocky hard plateau (called a Reg) with it’s stone desert.  There is very little sand, just the absolute silence of the desert, in the heart of the virgin dunes of Erg Sahel. In the afternoon, we will walk amongst the dunes & enjoy the beautiful sunset at the end of the day.  In the evening, we shall prepare a fire and cook bread in the sand. Tonight, once again, we experience the beautiful stars & sleep in tents.

DAY 8: Erg Sahel – Ergabi Dunes – Oulad Adriss

This is an approximatley 4h30 walking day.

This is our last day of walking, you will discover desert landscapes near the village of Bonou. We will then have lunch near the village of Ergabi.  During the afternoon, we will discover the architecture and adobe houses of Ergabi, before continuing on to the village of Ouled Driss. Tonight will be the last night for you to experience the beautiful stars, while sleeping under tents.

DAY 9: Ouled Driss – Ouarzazate – Marrakech

Transfer to Marrakech (450 km) by road to the Drâa Valley, Ouarzazate and the Tizi N’Tichka pass. Along the way, we will stop for some photos.

DAY 10

Marrakech airport, where we will bid a fond farewell to our travellers.
